Swiss Riviera Wine Tours – S for stimulating, R for resourceful, W for worth every cent, T for tremendous. The four or us were privileged to spend 4 hours in the company of Nicolas and Lloyd who, after a most warm welcome when they picked us up, guided, informed, entertained and interested us. Impossible not to be taken up by their own natural enthusiasm. They were mines of information not only on wine-making and tasting but on the historical and geographical aspects of the region. Never a dull moment, thanks also to their sense of humour! Excellent value for money.
We discovered Swiss Riviera Wine Tours during the Montreux Jazz Festival and were instantly drawn to Nic’s beautiful Riva boat. The next day, we hopped on board and enjoyed one of the most scenic and memorable hours of our summer. From Chillon Castle to the vineyards of Lavaux and the peaceful nature reserve, everything was breathtaking. What truly made it special was Nic’s warm personality and deep knowledge of the region. It was a highlight of our trip and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting Montreux.
We wish to thank Swiss Riviera Wine Tours for the excellent organisation and warm welcome you gave to us all. Despite being a group of over 60 guests, you managed to make the experience both informative and intimate. The added plus of the wonderful weather and being able to watch the competitors of the Bol d’Or yacht race from the terrace of the exclusive winery where we had our lunch made the day one to remember. The tour with Swiss Riviera Wine Tours through the Lavaux vineyard terraces was the ideal kick-off to our event in Montreux. Nicolas and his crew were able to gain the attention of our guests right from the beginning and shared their knowledge of winemaking in the region in a well-balanced mix of facts and anecdotes. They proved to be excellent hosts and entertainers and I am convinced, the tour left lasting impressions with our guests.
Our concierge highly recommended Swiss Riviera Wine Tours and we’re so glad we listened. We started with a private Chablais tour in a luxury van. It was such a treat that we immediately booked the Lavaux tour too. The views were breathtaking, the wines were truly exceptional, and having a guide who knew the best spots, including for the famous filet de perche, made the whole experience seamless and memorable. Each wine had its own character and depth. We just wish it were easier to find Swiss wines back home in California. Looks like we’ll have to come back. Thank you, Nic, for an unforgettable adventure! I guess we’ll just have to come back.
My wife and I have traveled to Europe on numerous occasions. Among our favorite activities, when exploring a new country or region, are small group wine tours. We recently made our first trip to Geneva and we both felt that meeting and touring with Nic was the highlight of our visit to this incredibly beautiful part of Switzerland. Nic has an engaging and easy-going personality and he is extremely knowledgable about the history, economy and wine and food offerings of this area. We absolutely benefitted from his familiarity with local wine producers and we enjoyed some of the area’s best wine offerings. Nic is a wonderful guide and there’s really no better way to see and explore the vineyards of this region! We’re anxious to return!
